Hatshepsut is the only kitten I have from
Wadjet. Wadjet wasn't a good mother, but I hope her doughter might be when she
is old enough. Hatshepsut is fostered by her Sokoke mother Kimburu
Mimishukuru Ninyi
Hatshepsut
has pitch black markings on a lighter background, her coat is dense and soft.
She has small, rounded ears with hits of ocelli, spotted hind legs, strong
facial markings including chinstrap ans several unbroken necklaces, she also has
a short tail and a white tummy for now. Allready at this age it is obvious that
she will get a good backskull, like her mother
Hatshepsut's temperament couldn't be better. She is very
friendy, loves her cuddles, has never met a stranger and is a very charming girl
- much like her cudly mother and super charming father. Together with i-Nur her
kittens should be superfriendly too. Right now they are both kittens and love to
play togheter (though i-Nur is three times as big)
Hatsepsut's pattern isn't shown very well in the newest
photos, so I have kept her older photos on the page too, as the pattern is shown
better in these photos.

Hatshepsut is about 6 months old and outdoors for the first time. Beautiful
dark yellow eyes, pitch black spots and a light
underside
Hatshepsut is almost 5 months old
in the newest photos.

What does
the name mean?
 |
Hatshepsut is named after
the only female pharaoh in Egyptian hisotry. Hatshepsut was doughter of
Tuthmose I, and lived around 1500 BC, when Thebe was the capital of
Egypt (this is near todays Luxor). Hatshepsut's temple is one of the big
tourist attractions today. In the photo
to the left someone has chopped off the double crown, a symbol of a
pharaoh. In every other aspect she still looks like a pharaoh and not a
queen.
My Hatshepsut has gotten her name as her mother,
Wadjet, is named after an Egyptian godess and she, like the historical
Hatshapsut, has a will of steel. |
